After a long season of wrestling, Gainesville High School wrestlers have made it to regional championships after all the hard work they put in during the regular season.

Regionals will be held at Woodbridge high school on Saturday, Feb.11.

“I rate my season as a nine out of ten because practices are still kind of hard and I get injured in them a lot, but just ice up and wrestle that next match,” said Senior Adrian Posada-Carrell

Wrestlers this year look forward to having their shot at being regional champions in this 2022-2023 season.

“I feel pretty good about it. If what I hear is true, I wanna go win some regionals,” said Junior, Jon Demarco

Some wrestlers are proud of their team’s performance, others are slightly disappointed.

“I think we could have done better, I don’t think we went to our full potential,” said Freshman Cash Crosby.

Sophomore Owen Sanky mentions the team’s performance at Freedom South Riding high school.

“Except for the Freedom performance, that was a little disappointing,” said Sophomore Owen Sanky.

Gainesville High School’s wrestling team is predicted to prosper in the regional matches to become state qualifiers.
