On January 16, 2025, Nintendo officially announced their follow up to their 2017 hit console, the Nintendo switch (called the switch 2). On March 3,2017, the Nintendo switch was released to massive success selling around 140 million units worldwide, beating their record of 13.5 million units, which was sold of the Wii u. With this new console, Nintendo seems to be focused on improving what worked about the original, while still ironing out some of the issues, such stick drift, which has been an issue for switch owners for years. Fans are also expecting big games for Nintendo’s flagship franchises such as a new 3D super Mario, which we have not had since 2017’s Super Mario Odessey. With a confirmed release window of 2025 and a rumored price of around 400 USD, many fans are giddy to see what improvements are made upon an already highly regarded device.
