The 2024/2025 season of the English Premier League only has 9 match days remaining until the end of season, with Liverpool leading the title race with a 13-point lead over second place Arsenal. If things remain as they are now, this will be the third season in a row where Arsenal have gotten second place in the league. The most apparent reason that they are not putting up as much of a fight for the title this year is because of the major injuries they have had throughout the season. On January 11, 2025, Gabriel Jesus tore his ACL, causing him to miss the rest of season. Further injuries to Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinell resulted in their absence until March and April, respectively. Kai Havertz also received an injury and will miss the rest of the season. That is four of their six attacking options absent, which will make their campaign difficult. Liverpool is making a surprising change to the title under new manager Arne Slot, who had fans thinking that the team’s adaptation would be difficult. They proved everyone wrong with their big lead over second place. The main man and star player on this team has undoubtedly been Mohamed Salah with 27 goals and 17 assists to his name.
