August 9th, 2025 marked the beginning of painting parking spots, and the seniors were beyond excited to finally paint their envisioned design onto a parking spot of their choosing, which they could personalize by painting. This opportunity is one that many seniors decided to take hold of to leave their mark for the year.
From August 9th to 17th, students had the opportunity to meet with friends and paint their parking spots, making them feel just a little closer to one another. People gathered with soft drinks and music, creating a party-like atmosphere that brought a sense of community.
Beyond the festivities, this was a time when students could project aspects of their personalities onto a blank canvas. Senior Shania Mos illustrated a Frank Ocean Album cover. Mos said, “I’m really obsessed with Frank Ocean, so album, which is one of my favorites,” capturing passion for her musical hero.
Some students took it a step further and created a duo parking space that completed a picture. These merged parking spaces can represent shared interests and a true bond between friends. Senior Yaz Khalifa decided to create a fight scene from the anime Naruto with the help of his friend. “I was talking to my friend about what the best fight scene of all time was, and Naruto and Susuke were up there.” Khalifa said.
With high school coming to a close, seniors all around the school are using their creativity to not only portray who they are but also come a little bit closer to each other.
