Attention all book lovers! Have you ever heard of Binding 13, Keeping 13, Saving 6, Redeeming 6, Taming 7, and Releasing 10? These are all books from a series is by Chloe Walsh- Boys of Tommen. The Boys of Tommen is a romance series with tropes such as found family, friends to lovers, tear-jerker, sports romance and so much more. This series take place at the characters high school in Ireland. They follow both the trauma and the love story of Johnny Kavanagh and Shannon Lynch, Joey Lynch and Aoife Molloy, Gerard Gibson and Claire Biggs, and Hugh Biggs and Lizzie Young. Each book was a five-star read, and worth the heartbreak. While it takes some mental stability to get through these, it is worth it on every level. These love stories are reality warping, and you will be enamored. I can’t come close to describing what this book is like and how it will affect you. For anyone who wants to vicariously experience love and friendship through an amazing story, this is for you. (Releasing 10 does have a trigger warning due to its themes that are hard to read about).
Binding 13 and Keeping 13 are the first two books in the series, following Johnny Kavanagh and Shannon Lynch. She has trauma and he wants to help save her. Shannon has been bullied her whole life both at home and school. She finally snaps and transfers to Tommen College (high school in Ireland) for a fresh start, where her life changes forever. Johnny is a star rugby player, and his only focus is going pro. He doesn’t have time for partying or girlfriends, but when Shannon comes to Tommen, his life changes too.
Saving 6 and Redeeming 6 follow Joey Lynch and Aoife Molloy. Joey is stuck taking care of his siblings and battling addiction. He doesn’t care about anything anymore, just his siblings and Aoife. She’s determined, stubborn, and she wants to help Joey fight addiction. However, he won’t accept her help. They’ve been in love since they were twelve. She’s fighting for him and he’s fighting to keep her away.
Taming 7 is the fifth installment in the Boys of Tommen series following Gerard Gibson (Gibsie) and Claire Biggs. Gibsie is the class clown; he uses humor as a coping mechanism to hide what lurks beneath. Claire is the sunshine girl; she wants more with Gibsie and has been in love with him since childhood. However, he’s too busy trying to hide his feelings, he won’t let her in. He’s trying to keep the friendship too afraid to lose her. She’s trying to turn it into something more.
