The heavily anticipated movie, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba has reached U.S. theaters, and it has left viewers in awe. The film adapts the first part of the infinity castle arc that is featured in the Demon Slayer manga.
The Infinity Castle is the domain in which the main antagonist Muzan Kibutsuji resides. The structure and concept of the castle is always changing to confuse the Demon Slayers and isolate them from their groups.
Students within Gainesville High School gave their thoughts and opinions on the movie. While most were satisfied with the pacing of the movie, some were left upset that the movie didn’t cover another heavily anticipated fight. Senior Valeria Miranda was one such student: “I wish she kind of also included the fight that’s also coming out in the next movie. Not Kokoushibo, but the one with Inosuke and Kanao versus Douma.” Miranda said.
There are two fights that fans wish to see but will be featured in the next movie, such as the fights between Kanao and Inosuke vs Douma and Gyomei, Genya, Muichiro, Sanemi, and Kokushibo. The majority of students rated the movie a ten out of ten and stated they had high expectations before walking into the theater. Students praised the company “ufotable” for perfectly capturing moments from the manga and going above and beyond.
