“My first dual meet was last year against John Champe high school and I think that was
the moment that I truly fell in love with wrestling just the way it felt being the only one on the
mat everyone screaming at me and watching me and I won that first dual meet match and that
was the biggest moment in wrestling for me because winning that match really made me fall in
love with the sport. I stared wrestling at the age of seven or eight, after a while I wanted to quit
so I talked to my dad and he told me he wasn’t going to push it and make me hate it and I might
come back to it and clearly I did.” sophomore Dane Doucette said.
