“I started going to the gym because I was overweight and wanted to lose some pounds,”
freshmen Derek Lee said. “I think I’ve gone for a year or two. I stopped for a couple months, but
I came back. I might’ve given up at an old gym, but I usually took a week or two break and came
back. Before it was because I was too lazy and maybe wasn’t adjusted. My best experience was
when I got my green belt in Jiu Jitsu. I had been learning different moves and I was able to
practice the moves and finally be able to land them. I had a strong resolve to get better. The
worst thing I felt was the feeling that I had to start back from scratch. I got a fitter body and got
healthier mentally and physically. ”
