The fall play is on the way! This year GHS drama teacher Christine Maxted is orchestrating Shakespeare’s MacBeth.
During rehearsals, both the actors and crew are hard at work. The play is set to show on November 10th of this year.
Liliana Anderson, Sophomore leaves rehearsal two hours and twenty minutes after school ends.
“A rehearsal usually goes until 4:30,” Anderson said.
Anderson is thankful that Mrs. Maxted gives the actors breaks.
“She’ll give us breaks every now and again, and if you’re late coming back from break, you kind of get in trouble, but nothing too big.” Anderson said.
On days the actors know their scenes, they can go through them pretty quickly.
“If we know the scenes, we can go through four to five scenes per rehearsal.” Anderson said.
Another actor, Oscar Loios, Senior, who plays a Murderer, discusses his favorite part of rehearsal.
“My favorite part is using the fake daggers in the combat scenes.” Loios said.
Anderson also explains her favorite part of rehearsal.
“My favorite part is act one scene three,” Anderson said “because I have to go ‘Show me! Show me!’ like a little kid. “
She enjoys the absolute silliness of the scene.
To see the play, come to the auditorium on November 10th.
