On September 12, Jaime Maussan, journalist and ufologist, presented claimed evidence of alien life to Mexican congress in the form of mummified remains. These unique specimens left a single question, are they real?
Maussan brought the alleged aliens to Mexico’s first congressional hearing on unidentified aerial phenomena, also called UFOs. Maussan claimed on oath that the two bodies were both complete and unaltered. Maussan isn’t new to these claims of alien life, dismissed as either Peruvian mummies or mummies that were altered in the past.
The bodies had a scrawny physique, with three fingers and a decrepit look. The bodies shared similarities with that of the fictional alien E.T. X-rays of the aliens show one with what is said to be eggs.
According to Maussan, the bodies were found underground in the coastal Peruvian desert of Nazca in 2017. This area has captured the curiosity of creative minds, due to its massive figures carved into the earth only observable from above, attributed with the native Nazca people.
What did the researchers determine? The bodies made no sense and had poor evidence backing them. The bodies have still not been analyzed, and their data unreleased to the public.
Following the hearing, images of the aliens would go viral across social media. Many would call the attempt both shameful and embarrassing for the Mexican Congress.
